Living above ground creates a sense of openness—even within a modest footprint. This rental property was redesigned to attract a discerning tenant who would appreciate thoughtful design and quality finishes.

Artwork, furnishings, and accessories for the living, dining, bathroom and bedroom areas were carefully sourced in collaboration with the client to elevate the overall aesthetic.

G. Marie & Co. led the renovation of this 2,200-square-foot Cherry Creek townhome, working closely with the contractor to coordinate custom-painted cabinetry, redesigned primary bathroom (new footprint by moving toilet to enclosed space) and guest bathrooms, and a new HVAC system.
Our team provided full interior design services, including the selection of fixtures, finishes, furnishings, and materials. Contemporary elements such as Hubbardton Forge lighting and Tufenkian rugs helped establish a refined modern aesthetic. The fireplace was updated with quartz to give the space substance and make an impression.
Additional wallpaper and fabrics were sourced through the Denver Design Center at wholesale pricing, allowing the client access to a wider range of high-quality options while maintaining strong value within the project budget.

After construction and painting were completed in collaboration with the client’s contractor, the interiors were carefully refined. The client’s collection of African artifacts was thoughtfully curated with custom display solutions, allowing individual pieces to stand out while maintaining a balanced and livable environment.
Existing furnishings were refreshed through reupholstery, and additional pieces were introduced to create a cohesive interior that reflects both the client’s personality and the character of the home.

The powder room/full bath, enhances both comfort and usability. Custom tile work makes it feel like a luxurious spa experience.
Furnishings were refreshed by sourcing additional antique dining chairs and reupholstering existing living room pieces, creating a warm, boutique-hotel atmosphere.
In the family room, wallpaper from Moda Antica brings freshness and character to a space designed to comfortably gather family and friends. A generous sectional anchors the room, complemented by a table and lounge chairs, while contemporary artwork by Josh Armijo adds a playful and vibrant finishing touch.
G. Marie collaborated with William Ohs Kitchens on the design of this custom kitchen, guiding the client through the selection of cabinet styles, finishes, countertop slabs, and decorative hardware. Lighting by Denise & Leen and a kitchen table from Grange were chosen to complement the remodeled space.
Fabrics from Kravet and Pindler were used for custom bench cushions and to reupholster the family room sofa, pillows, and chairs. Every element was carefully coordinated with the client to reflect her sophisticated, couture-inspired style throughout the home.
G Marie created a beautiful blend of western culture and modern influence. We used custom and retail furniture in the spaces and kept the project on budget. Previously collected Western artwork was placed strategically to reflect the clients requirements and establish a sophisticated western inspired family santuary.
The dining room was the first room we tackled by procuring a pedestal table and chairs upholstered in a crushed velvet. We added antique pots, large greenery trees, and an iron mirror over the fireplace to complete the design. The drapers were custom made in our subs workroom.
In the livng room artwork of cattle, new lamps and case goods were assembled to create a western hotel vibe. Lighted curio cabinets hold family memorabelia of Texas. A reminder that the client’s home state is not forgotten.
The powder room is washed in hair-on-hide wallpaper and the metal hamered sink, iron faucets and sconces, bring more western authenticity into the home.
Custom silk studded drapes hang on iron rods in the family room and are backed to keep out the late afternoon sun. The iron table and upholstered high back chairs came from a retail source and showcase the grit of these western inspired interiors.
Old World Charm, Thoughtfully Reimagined
G. Marie led the complete 2,500-square-foot first-floor remodel of this elegant home, blending old-world character with modern functionality. The project included a custom kitchen by Irie Cabinetry, new bathroom design, floor refinishing, drapery, and full interior furnishings.
The kitchen was reimagined while maintaining the original footprint, introducing a luxurious yet highly functional layout. A coffee bar and buffet station replaced an antique cabinet, expanding the room’s usability. Custom tile from Decorative Materials added a distinctive focal point, carefully installed to maintain the integrity of the mosaic design.
Furnishings throughout the home create a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. Iron bar stools from Chuck Wells, chairs from Towne, and a custom circular bench table from HoffMiller complement a marble-topped kitchen table. Reupholstered seating in faux leather, an iron and glass coffee table, and carefully sourced pieces—including a family room carpet discovered at auction—bring warmth and individuality to the space.
The color palette combines soft neutral tones with vibrant accents. Rich textiles from designers such as Rose Tarlow were used throughout, while durable outdoor fabrics were selected in high-use areas to ensure beauty and practicality. A striking Hermès-orange chaise adds a playful touch, balanced by camel-colored sofas that bring understated elegance.
In the powder room, creamy textured wallpaper pairs with a porcelain pedestal sink and refined Kalista fixtures. A custom mirror from Accessory Warehouse completes the space, delivering a polished and timeless finish.
This kitchen remodel was designed to bring a modern, streamlined aesthetic while maximizing the home’s market appeal. Working closely with the client’s subcontractors, G. Marie ensured each update contributed to positioning the property competitively within the high-end residential market.

In the open-concept kitchen-living space, additional enhancements included replacing the fireplace stone and upgrading the island lighting to elevate both function and visual impact.

Marie & Co. collaborated with local builder Squibb Estates to remodel this distinctive Denver Country Club residence, creating a home that brings family and friends together in an atmosphere where tradition meets modern comfort. The design balances history, art, and color with thoughtful updates that enhance everyday living.
The kitchen was reimagined with refinished and painted cabinetry, updated finishes, and improved functionality to seamlessly support both cooking and gathering. Mechanical systems, including HVAC, were upgraded, and bathrooms were fully renovated with carefully selected tile, fixtures, and fittings.
Throughout the home, French antique cabinets and European antiques showcase the client’s world travels, complemented by newly sourced furnishings and finishes. Existing seating was reupholstered for understated elegance, while custom green drapery provides a dramatic focal point and contributes to energy efficiency.
In the primary suite, a custom-designed closet improved flow and usability, while the bathroom was finished in classic Carrara marble with new cabinetry and fixtures for a timeless, refined look.
G. Marie also provided design guidance for the pool and patio areas, enhancing the home’s outdoor living experience and creating a cohesive connection between interior and exterior spaces.
These clients were living with the antiques and furnishings passed down through generations. Our challenge was to integrate these treasures with modern details. We brought in our cabinet refinisher for the kitchen and updated cabinets with paint and replaced the hardware.
Our workroom manufactured custom draperies, our upholsterer recovered soft furnishings, and our art installers rearranged and hung the art so that it gave a layer of importance to individual pieces.
We styled the master bedroom with luxurious Frette bed linens and added lamps by Circa Lighting. The results are amazing.
G. Marie & Co. coordinated the full renovation of this kitchen following extensive water damage, working closely with AHL Contractors to ensure proper restoration and alignment with the homeowner’s insurance coverage.
The project began with structural repairs, including electrical, plumbing and replacement of damaged floorboards and refinishing of existing floors, prior to the installation of custom cabinetry manufactured by AHL. The redesigned kitchen was thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of a young family, incorporating highly functional features such as integrated charging drawers, a “Cloud” corner system for optimized storage, spice drawers at waist height, a concealed coffee station, and pull-out mixer shelves.
Design inspiration was drawn from the home’s outdoor water feature, translating natural stone textures and warm earthy tones into the interior palette. Wood lighting fixtures and soft sand-colored cabinetry reinforce the organic, inviting aesthetic.
Fixtures and appliances were carefully selected to ensure long-term performance while contributing to a refined and timeless design.
