From City Noise to Country Calm

When construction and traffic began changing the character of their neighborhood, our clients decided it was time to move on. They traded the noise and congestion of the city for the countryside—a place where their family could slow down, spend time together, and enjoy a little more room to breathe.

The farmhouse had great bones, but it lacked personality. The lighting was dated, the kitchen and bathrooms needed refreshing, and the rooms felt more functional than welcoming. Our goal was not to make the house feel brand new. It was to make it feel like their home.

We guided our clients through the decisions that would have the greatest impact, beginning with new lighting throughout the house and a fresh palette of paint colors. In the update for the kitchen we sourced granite and a custom wooden top for the island. In the kitchen and bathrooms we carefully selected new hardware and fixtures rather than replacing everything unnecessarily. We changed the lighting throughout the house.

We designed and managed custom window treatments and bedding, then sourced sofas, rugs, chairs, and beds that balanced comfort, durability, and style.

Just as important, we helped our clients avoid expensive mistakes—buying furniture that was too large for the rooms, choosing pieces simply because they were trendy, or spending the budget where a thoughtful update would accomplish the same goal.

By sourcing furnishings and fabrics strategically, we were able to save enough money for our clients to purchase two horses their grandkids love.
